With $100,000 to spend on a party, any type of party is possible. If I were to throw one, it would be a masquerade, containing carnival rides, all on a beach house. The house would be on the coast of Malibu, an ultra private beach home with four bedrooms. This would cost $45,000 for a month. The masks will also be available at the party, and each dozen masks will cost twenty dollars. If there is more than two hundred people attending, that would require twenty dozens which equals to almost $400. The additional items to make the party carnival themed include:
Ferris Wheel : $2,000Teacup Ride: $900
Cotton Candy/Popcorn Machine: $130 each
Magician: $260
The food I would have to offer my guests would be a 1920's inspired meal. It would all be homemade because I am one who prefers making my own food rather than ordering it. The cost of making each for approximately 200 people would be:
Mint Julep: $300
Stuffed Mushrooms: $200
Chicken Breast a la Rose with Waldorf Salad: $450
Lemon Chiffon Cake: $250
The method of transportation I would offer to my guests would be a party bus limo which would cost $975 per bus, and each could hold up to one hundred people, therefore two would be required. To hire a DJ for the music, it would cost me about $400 for a normal one who can play music that the guests can enjoy and dance to. Thus far, the total would be $52,370. With the left over money I could purchase one thousand dollars worth of decorations, forty six thousand for party favors (Michael Kors watches, $230 each), and the rest to treat myself to buy an outfit to wear at my party.
I had thought of a similar idea such as this to throw a party, but unfortunately I did not have the chance to make it happen. As soon as I read "Carnival Masquerade" on the invitations, I reserved this day to attend the party and I am quite glad I did. As soon as I arrived I picked up a beautiful mask and put it on. Later I found a date, who also had a mask on, and we enjoyed the rides together. My dream had always been to attend a carnival and enjoy it with a boy I was interested in. This dream came true all thanks to you. Aside from the exciting thrills this party offered, the food was exactly how I like it, not to mention the mouth watering lemon cake. I do not know how else to thank you for the invite and the beautiful watch!
ReplyDeleteWhat a night! Attending a party on the coast of Malibu was exciting and refreshing. I really enjoyed all of the carnival rides, especially the Ferris Wheel. Looking at the beach from the top of the Ferris Wheel was breathtaking. One can truly see one's surroundings from an aerial point of view. The Teacup ride brought back many memories of my childhood. I remember visiting Disneyland and riding the Teacup with my family. The cotton candy was delicious. The popcorn was by far the best popcorn I have tasted. It was the first time that I tasted a Lemon Chiffon Cake. It was appetizing. The mixture of a masquerade and carnival theme was innovative and it truly stood out from the parties that I have attended. I truly enjoyed the party and all the amenities that came along with it. This party will be unforgettable and memorable.

The beach is one of my favorite places and Preny, you did an amazing job at combining two ideas together. I have no doubt that the party filled with carnival rides, left the guests enjoying their time because I absolutely did! My favorite ride was the Ferris Wheel, where I was able to enjoy the scenery of the beach with my friends. Not only that, but the food was delicious as well, especially the stuffed mushrooms! I eventually found a perfect mask, which fit perfectly and was my favorite color, for the party. The Michael Kors watches you gave as party favors were definitely unexpected. Every time I look at the watch, I remember your party. Thank you for a fun filled night; I hope you throw another party soon again!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first received the invitation, I was so overjoyed I could barely sit still in my seat. I even began counting down the days till this magical event. When the day arrived, it was everything I had imagined and more. The masks provided an exciting sense of mystery, the rides where thrilling, the food was absolutely exquisite, and the watches were just beautiful. Thank you for this amazing night! It is definitely one I will not easily forget.
